How to 'Factory Reset' the A7070


There are a number of reasons why you might want to Factory Reset your A7070. Whether you're giving the A7070 to someone else and don't want them to access your information, or maybe you're having trouble and need to start from scratch.


Factory Reset the A7070 WITH the Android TV Menu:


01: Press the HOME button on the Remote Control.


02: Follow the steps according to the Android TV Menu.

  • Select Settings → Device Preferences → Reset   Factory Data Reset.


03: Select Erase Everything.

  • The Factory Reset may take a few moments.  After the Factory Reset process completes successfully, your A7070 will proceed into the First Time Installation.


WARNING: If you perform a Factory Reset, all of the A7070's data and settings, such as Network Information, Google Account Details, and installed Apps, etc. will be erased, and the A7070 will return to how it was at the time of purchase.


If you're unable to access the Android TV Menu, on the Back Panel of the A7070 between the two USB Ports, there's a small circular hole - inside this hole, is a 'Reset' button.


Factory Reset the A7070 WITHOUT the Android TV Menu:


01: Remove the power (unplug) from the A7070.


02: Press/Hold the 'Reset' button inside the hole, on the Back Panel.


03: Reconnect the power to the A7070, still hold the 'Reset' button.

  • Keep the 'Reset' button held for 15 seconds, as the A7070 turns ON.


04: Follow the steps according to the Reset Menu.

  • Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset (Fifth Option) → Yes (First Option).


05: Select Reboot System Now (First Option).

  • Your A7070 will will reboot, into the First Time Installation.
