If the onscreen keyboard will not come up automatically when you need it, try the below steps to fix the issue.
1. Press the HOME "O" button on your Remote, to view the HOME screen.
2. Select "Settings" (COG) in the top-right of the google home screen. Scroll down to and select "Keyboard".
3. Select "Current keyboard" and change it from Google indic keyboard to Gboard.
If the above instructions do not match please try the below steps
1. Press the HOME "O" button on your Remote, to view the HOME screen.
2. Select the Settings (COG) icon in the top-right, next to the Time.
3. Scroll down to, and select "Device Preferences".
4. Scroll down to, and select "Keyboard".
5. Select "Current Keyboard".
6. If set to "Google Indic Keyboard", change to "Gboard".
7. Otherwise select "Manage Keyboards", ensure "Gboard" is the only one turned ON.
