?️ SmartVU SV11HD – No Sound After Remote Button Setup (Volume/Mute Issue)
✅ Answer: This can happen if the system sound on the SV11HD was muted before setting up the remote buttons.
During remote configuration, you can set the Power, Input, Mute, and Volume buttons to control your TV or sound system via IR or HDMI-CEC. However, if the SmartVU system volume was muted before this setup, the Android TV volume stays muted, even though you're adjusting volume on your TV — resulting in no audio.
? What’s happening?
- The SV11HD's internal system volume is muted.
- Remote volume buttons are set to control your TV or soundbar, not the Android TV system.
- Result: The TV volume changes, but the system volume remains at zero, so there’s no sound.
✅ How to Fix It
? Option 1: Change Volume Control Back to Google (System Volume)
- Press the Home button on your SmartVU remote.
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to Setup Remote Buttons.
- Select Volume.
- Change the setting from IR or HDMI-CEC back to the Google option(this controls the Android TV system volume).
- Now press the Mute or Volume Up button — the system volume should respond and audio should return.
? Option 2: Remove the Configured TV
- Press the Home button.
- Go to Settings > Setup Remote Buttons.
- Choose Device you wish to forget.
- Select Forget from the available options
- This will clear the IR/CEC configuration and allow the remote to control the SV11HD directly again.
?️ Preventing This Issue in the Future
- Before setting up the remote buttons, ensure the SV11HD is not muted.
- Play content and confirm sound is working before configuring remote button settings.
- Then proceed with assigning IR or HDMI-CEC control to your TV or sound system.
? Still no sound?
- Use the Android TV Remote App (iOS or Android) to access volume/mute controls directly.
- Restart your SmartVU device.
