Effective from Thursday, 29 January
Some Freeview channels are changing their channel numbers on 29 January. You’ll still be able to watch everything for free — a few channels will just be in new places.
What’s changing?
From Thursday 29 January, the following channel moves will take place:

| BRAVO+1 | 14 | 9 |
You can still watch all these channels as usual — they’ll just appear under new channel numbers.
Are any channels leaving Freeview?
Yes. From 29 January:
- Eden+1 will no longer be available
- Sky Open+1 will no longer be available
Is anything being upgraded?
- Three will be upgraded to HD on Freeview satellite
- Three is already available in HD on Freeview terrestrial and streaming services
- From 29 January, it will also be available in HD on Freeview satellite
What do I need to do?
For most viewers, you don’t need to do anything. Most TVs and Freeview boxes will update automatically on 29 January.
If your channels don’t appear correctly after the change, simply retune your Freeview box.

Use the Freeview TV Guide
The Freeview TV Guide will show all channels in the correct order from 29 January.

You can also flick through the channels — you might even discover something new to watch.
Will my Series Links still work?
In most cases, yes. If a Series Link doesn’t work after the update, try retuning your box and setting the Series Link up again.
Still the same great TV
After 29 January, you can still enjoy the same great range of programming across the best free TV channels Aotearoa has to offer — just with a few channels in new places.
